This fun half or full day activity takes you from our resort area to some of the most beautiful secluded landscapes of our Appalachian Mountains...then sets you free to roll on down the West Virginia ATV trails.  Our ATV's are all well maintained and safety equipment is provided. This is a true adventure activity, the thrill of the ride is almost as good as the views you will take in if you stop.

An equestrian vacation at The Resort at Glade Springs can be a great experience, whether you're an accomplished horseback rider or just starting out! Ride along miles of marked trails that meander along mountain streams and over the hills of the resort's 4,100 acres. You might choose a romantic carriage ride for two. Or perhaps the whole family will enjoy pony rides, especially popular with our younger guests. Riding lessons are available by appointment.

Let our staff of professional guides give you the fishing vacation of a lifetime on North America's oldest river. The New River tumbles its way through an ancient gorge, and is brimming with small mouth bass, walleye, trout, and muskie. Of course, the West Virginia scenery is nothing less than breathtaking! Whether fly-fishing for browns, rainbows and goldens, or spin-casting for bass, our expert outfitters are ready to show you how to land the big ones!

Your family will enjoy a leisurely paddleboat ride, while taking in the beautiful West Virginia scenery. Canoes, kayaks and paddleboats are available for rent during the warmer months.

If you have an adventurous heart but no experience, fear not, we also provide a guide who can instruct you, as well as safety equipment for your climb. If you are ready for a day filled with breathtaking views, mental and physical challenges and a real taste of nature at it's most impressive then rock climbing is calling you.

Here's an outdoor activity that provides all of the adventure of a hunt, with none of the risk. You will get just the right amount of shooting experience, without trecking through the woods to a remote location and waiting for a "Natural Target."  Our instructors will guide you through the how to's and then let you shoot to your heart's content. But no need to worry the Pigeons are made of clay. Our experienced Sporting Clay instructors are trained to accommodate any level of experience from those who have never shot a gun, to truly experienced shooters. 

West Virginia is a premier whitewater rafting resort with two major rivers nearby - the New River and the Gauley River.  Most of our West Virginia whitewater rafting trips are a full-day adventure - approximately 6-8 hours - and include a specially-prepared riverside lunch and river equipment. No experience is necessary for any New River whitewater rafting trip - professional guides are in each raft.
