Parasailing over Lake George, whitewater rafting down an Adirondack River, kayak and boating adventures on the Lake or an adventure ropes course are all within easy reach of the Georgian Resort. 

Parasailing: Parasailing Adventures have been servicing the Lake George area for the past 20 years with safety and a certified professional staff to make your parasailing adventure unforgettable. Experience the excitement of parasailing from a parasail boat. No more waiting on a raft on the lake.  While you're waiting for your turn in the air you'll experience a fun speedboat ride!  Parasailing Adventures improved parasailing method launches and lands it's flyers with a modern winch system right from the back of their special boat.  Parasail Adventures are equipped to fly two or three people side by side, and their parasail boat can accommodate larger groups.

Whitewater Rafting and Tubing:  Available on The Sacandaga River near Lake Luzerne and also on The Upper Hudson River near North Creek.  The Sacandaga offers a very dependable dam release on 3 1/2 miles of River with rafting and whitewater tubing trips offered daily.  It’s a great Summer Cooler!  The trip is suitable for all ages 5 and above, and is a great beginner whitewater adventure (trips are usually an hour and half long).  

Whitewater on The Upper Hudson River is a longer Adventure Class whitewater rafting trip covering 16 miles of grand Adirondack Wilderness and great whitewater fun!  This trip also has a very dependable dam release with Summer Trips run on Tuesday, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.  Minimum age for the Hudson is 8 years old in the summer with higher age limits in the spring.  

For a little tamer ride – with little or no rapids – try tubing near Lake Luzerne on the Hudson River with Tubby Tubes. 

The Great Escape – Owned by Six Flags, The Great Escape is the largest theme/amusement/water park in the State and is located just minutes south of Lake George Village. Georgian Lakeside Resort guests can buy their tickets reduced rates. 

Lake George Steamboat Company – Cruising the waters of Lake George since 1819, the Steamboat Company has three beautiful boats featuring dinner, fireworks, and pizza cruises. Tour the whole Lake, half of the Lake, or take just a 1 hour cruise. A Lake George tradition, reduced prices are available for The Georgian guests.

Wild West Ranch and Western Town – Just one mile south of the Village on Route 9, the “Wild West” offers “an 1800′s ranch experience”. Free admission, great food, horseback rides, petting corral & much more. Your gang will love this place! 

Horseback Riding - Trail rides from one hour to all day including sunset dinner rides & a trip to the top of Beech Mountain. Just ten minutes from the Georgian on Route 9N South. 

Boating - A great selection of power boats, pontoon boats, kayaks and canoes available for you to enjoy.  Partial day, full day and multiple day rentals are available.

Hiking - Adirondack Park is a six million acre patchwork of private and public lands and contains the largest Wilderness Areas in the East.  The Georgian Lakeside Resort and Lake George Region are located in the Southern Adirondacks near many great hiking trails, nature areas and wilderness.  The mountains surrounding Lake George offer short hikes with stunning views of Lake George and the surrounding area. 

Golfing - Top of the World – Literally on top of a mountain, the views alone are worth the trip! Just ten minutes from The Georgian Lakeside Resort, this 18 hole course is a load of fun to play. Reduced rates and packages are offered to The Georgian guests. 

Cronin’s Golf Resort – Winding along the Hudson, just looking at the scenery just might cost you a stroke or two! Just north of us in Warrensburg, Cronin’s offers reduced rates for guests of The Georgian.

Hiland Golf Course – Site of the 1992 Michelob NYS Open, the Hiland is regarded as one of the best in the state. Reduced rates are offered to The Georgian guests. 

Airway Meadows – A long par 72-course offers some of the best conditions in the area as well as reduced rates for guests of The Georgian.

Cross-country Skiing / Snowshoeing: The Adirondacks is a land for adventure.  Winter is an exciting time to get out on the trails and discover the Adirondack wilderness.  Enjoy the benefits of groomed skiing at these fine Cross-Country Ski Centers – all a short drive from Lake George and The Georgian Resort. 

Snowmobiling: Lake George is located in the middle of three trail systems with hundreds of miles of trails and some of the greatest scenery in the Adirondacks.
