Onsite At The Cliffs at Long Creek you will find:

State of the art fitness center.
Each treadmill, stationary bike and elliptical machine has its own personal television to help make your workout that much more enjoyable.  If the weather is nice, why not use the stationary bicycles that are outside on the back deck?  You get a complementary towel and headphones to use while you are working out so that all you need to bring is yourself.  This fitness center looks out over beautiful Table Rock Lake; which makes for a very enjoyable workout.

Activity Center:
Each month the Activity Staff puts together a wonderful array of planned activities for your enjoyment.  At The Cliffs we love our wildlife friends and keeping them around for everyone to enjoy.  How about making a birdfeeder to take home to your backyard pals?   Come by and create a scrapbook page to keep and save the memories you make while staying at The Cliffs.  Or join in the fun and decorate your very own picture frame.   Each month we have different activities planned for the whole family to enjoy.

Our staff members at The Cliffs at Long Creek are here to help you with any of your area information needs.  Whether it be finding hours of operation, seasonal show dates, or information about any of the other wonderful attractions the area has to offer.  We can help you with anything from shopping information to scheduling fishing trips.  We even have vouchers for several of the area’s most popular shows.

Would you like a picture of your family in front of your fireplace; or maybe a shot on property overlooking the lake or next to the wagon?  Our activities staff can take a shot for you and print it on site, email it to you or send you a copy.  Please call to schedule a time.

Geocaching-Scavenger Hunts:
There are 19 locations around Big Cedar® Lodge for geocaching.  You may wonder what geocaching means, well if you have ever been on a scavenger hunt and had a good time, you will probably enjoy geocaching.  This is a high tech version of a treasure hunt with locations all over the world.  Instead of using a paper to lead the way, geocachers use GPS systems to track the location of each cache.  Be sure to ask about this unique new game the whole family is sure to enjoy.

Located 16 miles west of us, near the Missouri/Arkansas  line is Dogwood Canyon Nature Park.  This pristine reserve, 2,200 acres in all, was founded by Bass Pros Shops founder, Johnny Morris, as a way to preserve the natural Ozarks environment for generations to come.  Dogwood Canyon offers a wide variety of activities for all ages, as well as an outdoor café, Segway tours, private guided Jeep tours and a historic chapel for weddings and special events.  Relax and enjoy a two-hour ride through the park on an open-air tram.  The breathtaking scenery includes towering bluffs and waterfalls, herds of elk and bison running free, sparkling creeks, even a stop to feed the rainbow trout. (Reservations strongly recommended).

An extraordinary way to see areas of the park set aside just for riders are on the back of a horse.  Ages 10 and up can go on a one-hour ride (there is also a special junior rider program for those ages 3 to 9).  You can also enjoy Dogwood Canyon on a self-guided walking or biking tour along paved, gently sloping paths.  Bring your own bike, or rent one of theirs.  And there is nothing like the thrill of hooking a Rainbow Trout, you can even take your catch home for dinner!  There are rods and tackle for rent, as well as guided tours.  In addition there are fly-casting clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays and special two-day fly casting schools throughout the season.
