Grand Teton Photo Safari
This excursion is designed specifically for photographers interested in visiting Grand Teton’s most photogenic locations under the guidance of a professional photographer. You will spend the entire morning shooting film or digital images, gaining insights into your equipment, and receiving tips on how to capture the best image possible in both landscape and wildlife photography. These excursions take place Tuesday mornings and Friday evenings and last between five and six hours. 

Astronomy Night - 
Complimentary to Spring Creek Ranch guests every Monday and Thursday night (weather permitting). Spring Creek Ranch will be offering an evening under the stars twice a week throughout the summer months. Our location above the lights of Jackson is an ideal place for stargazing and learning a few of the summer constellations. 

Nature Hike -
Every Thursday and Saturday at 8:00 am (weather permitting). Accompany a Spring Creek Ranch's naturalist on a morning or afternoon nature walk from May through October. This two-mile hike will be easy walking and take about two hours. We will bring binoculars and field guides and learn about the plants and animals that inhabit the wildlife preserve on which Spring Creek Ranch is located. This is a perfect family activity! 

Hiking -
Guide services offer hikes to unique areas and instruction on flowers, geology, birds, mammals and local history of the area. Guides cater to all levels of physical ability with most common distances of 4 to 6 miles (12 mile hikes available for the avid hiker).

 

Flyfishing -
Flyfishing along the Snake River or other rivers in the area from a drift boat is a breathtaking experience. Enjoy spectacular views of the Teton Mountain Range as you float down the river catching native cutthrouat trout. Enjoy stops along the way to explore pools and channels - your knowledgable guide will help find the fish! And for the beginners, all trips include instruction. The Snake River is the ideal place to learn.
Hot Air Balloon Rides -
The ultimate float trip in Jackson Hole! Enjoy panoramic views of the Tetons and all mountains surrounding the valley. Catch sight of elk, moose, deer, antelope, and bald eagles from above. A special way to take in the beauty of Jackson Hole. 

 

 

WINTER RECREATION:  

Sleigh Rides 
Spring Creek Ranch Sleigh Ride -
Wrap up in our lap robes and enjoy a memorable ride by horse-drawn sleigh along East Gros Ventre Butte, over-looking the twinkling lights of Jackson.  This peaceful relaxing trip can be followed by dinner at the award winning Granary Restaurant. It will be an experience you will not soon forget.

National Elk Refuge Sleigh Ride -
Imagine taking a horse-drawn sleigh ride among an elk herd numbering in the thousands. This is such a great opportunity to see wildlife up close with scenic mountains as a backdrop, a ride that is very unique to the Jackson area.

Snowshoe Hike - 
Departs from the Ranch House (reception) at 10:00am every Monday and Thursday (weather permitting).  Accompany Spring Creek Ranch’s resident naturalist on a 1 to 2 mile snowshoe hike enjoying stunning views and searching for animal tracks in the snow. Snowshoeing is a quiet and low-impact means of experiencing winter and is a great family activity!

Cross Country Skiing -
The oldest form of skiing, documented by 4000 year old cave murals in Norway, provides one of the best ways of experiencing winter, improving fitness and learning about skiing.

Cross country ski beneath the majesty of the heart of the Teton Range. The user-friendly flats to Jenny Lake or the hills around Bradley Taggert Lakes offer something for everyone.

Ski rentals, lessons, and guided tours are also available.

Downhill Skiing -
Jackson offers some of the best powder and groomed skiing in the country. For all experience levels and ages, Jackson skiing is something you should not miss. With three ski resorts in the area you can find great variety in your skiing vacation, including night skiing and deep powder C.A.T. skiing.

Dog Sledding -
Experience the rugged outdoors as the early explorers did. Learn how to drive the dog sled or sit back and relax in your blanketed cozy sled while you enjoy the winter wonderland.

No other method of travel over snow can compare with dog sledding. The only sounds are the shushing of the runners, perhaps the panting of the dogs and the wind in your face.

Snowmobiling -   
Enjoy an exciting day touring our forests and parks, looking for wildlife, exploring Yellowstone, or simply searching for powder. There are a wide variety of tours that are offered to meet your specific needs.

Ice Skating -
Jackson offers both indoor and outdoor skating rinks throughout the winter. Strap on the skates and enjoy the indoor ice at Snow King Resort. There is hockey on Friday nights as well as other organized activities. Outside at the base of Snow King is a quaint rink, perfect for the outdoor enthusiast.

Tubing -
Fly down Snow King on an inner-tube. Great fun for the whole family.
